Guided city tours

From May to the end of September, the tourist information of Andernach.net offers guided city tours to the historical sightseeing objects of the city.

All those, who are interested, can participate in these guided tours without previous notification. Meeting point and also starting point for the guided city tours is at Andernach.net, Läufstraße 4, every Saturday at 10.30 o'clock.

In company of our qualified city guides you will learn about the architectural history of the most notable time witnesses, like for example of the city wall with its gates and towers built in the 12^th century, St. Mary’s Cathedral and the Round Tower, and you will get much information and background stories about life in our historical city. The tour also includes the old city hall with the Jewish bath, the ruin of the city castle and the Rhine gate.

The costs amount to 3 EUR for adults, 1 EUR for children from 6 to 16, children under 6 years are free.

Furthermore, it is possible to book group tours at individual dates and special theme tours.

Group tours can also be held in English and French and in a child-oriented way for kindergartens and schools. For groups up to 30 persons, a tour in German costs 43 EUR, tours for kindergartens and schools amount to 33 EUR.
