"Andernach Advent Market with Living Crib"  

On the historical market place in a large wooden crib between sheep, donkeys and cows, the Christmas story is played, according to Luke’s gospel. Every day young and old meet to see spellbound what happened in the stable of Bethlehem at that time. In beautifully decorated little houses, the Advent market offers everything the heart could wish for, from Christmas decoration to hot waffles with mulled wine.

Discover the attractions and the beauty of the landscape between the romantic Rhine and the Eifel by bike!
From the starting point in the baker boy city of Andernach, you ride along the banks and castles of the romantic Rhine, passing idyllic villages, forests, meadows and fields. Upon request, you can take a comfortable trip back home in the historical volcanic express.

• Bicycle tour from Andernach to Brohl, including tour description
• 1,5 hours travel with the volcanic express to Engeln
• Rustic meal in the Royal's Vulkan-Stube at the station of Engeln
• Trip back to Andernach passing through the Vinxbach valley by bike

For Hikers:  "Reception at Namedy Castle"
Wander along the banks of the romantic Rhine, passing the Namedy Werth to the Andernach castle of Namedy, a late Gothic water castle.
Take a guided tour to the castle, which is in the possession of the Rhineland line of the royal house of Hohenzollern. Namedy Castle is far-famed for its culture event of the "Andernach Music Days" taking place in spring.
After the tour, a princely buffet with coffee and cake will be waiting for you.
