Experience medicine from the pre and early history to the present!
The "Johann-Winter-Museum", designated after the humanist and physician Johann Winter from Andernach (1505 - 1574) was opened in May 1992. The organization responsible for the museum is the Medicine Museum Association founded in 1987 and registered since 1989, which has been recognized as a charitable association since 1994. The former house of Dr. Johannes Schwab, high school professor and archaeologist deceased in 1947, is the outer frame of the museum. With his research activities, he also rendered outstanding services to the history of the city of Andernach.

Opening hours:
The Johann Winter Museum is opened every year
from May to November:
each first Sunday in the month from 2.30 to 6.30 p.m.
as well as according to previous telephone agreements.
Guided tours are held after arrangement.
Admission to the museum is free.
